Earlier last month (September) we got a new on set photo and video of Kat on a new photoshoot and today the shoot and a full on set video from it have been released. The shoot took place in downtown LA and was by Amanda Peixoto-Elkins and was for her Natural Light series. Kat looks amazing and the photos to die for and from the looks of the video they all had a great time doing them. The photoshoot is now up in the gallery as well as the screen caps from the on set video and you can watch said video below.
A new episode of my Natural light Photoshoot series for @amandapelkins Youtube channel!!
I suck at being in front of the camera, so work with me while I adjust to this new thing. It is so fun to have you join me and see what goes on when I am shooting. I hope you are able to learn a thing or two.
A big treat for this episode is to have you meet and see how absolutely lovely Kat is. This was my first time meeting Kat in person, but it quickly felt as if we had been friends for a long time. She is so sweet and easy to work with and was very open to my ideas. It made the whole experience that much more fun!

This video is about a Katherine McNamara The Stand (CBS All Access) Interview

Two years after Sam Steele and the Junior Detective Agency Kat came back to again play Emma Marsh in it’s sequel Sam Steele and the Crystal Chalice. I have added in Blu-Ray screen captures this time round for you all, But the end is odd Kat just disappears from it she walks of to catch the bad gay wit Sam and is never seen again. The movie co-stars Jacob Hays, Kevin Sorbo, Dee Wallace, Mik Scriba, Jilanne Marie Klaus and is Director again by Tom Whitus.
When Sam Steele Junior gets a term paper assignment on a visit by the Soviet Premier to the Midwest in the late 1950s he’s less than enthused. But when he learns it may lead to treasure, the Junior Detective Agency is on the adventure of a lifetime.

The new full trailer for Kat’s new show The Stand just came out at New York Comic-Con online and the good news is the show looks amazing the bad news is Kat is not in the trailer but you can still watch it below.
Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, CBS All Access’s The Stand stars Whoopi Goldberg, Alexander Skarsgård, James Marsden, Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, and many more. The limited event series will also feature an all-new coda written by Stephen King. Don’t miss the premiere of The Stand on Thursday, Dec. 17, streaming exclusively on CBS All Access.
toofab.com – Katherine McNamara’s character in “The Stand” may be a stark contrast to the strong female heroines her fans are used to her playing, but the actress says the role was “a dream come true.”
The “Shadowhunters” star, who was promoting her collaboration with Precision 1 lenses for their “See What Happens” campaign, opened up to TooFab about her upcoming role in the highly-anticipated miniseries, in which she stars as sex-crazed teenager Julie Lawry.
“It was a dream come true. I mean, I’m a huge Stephen King fan. And so getting a chance to not only work with the incredible cast and creatives, but to bring a story to life that is so iconic. It was a blast,” began McNamara, 24, who is best known for her roles as Clary Fray in “Shadowhunters” and Mia Smoak in “Arrow.”
“I will say having played heroes for years, playing a character like Julie, who is so erratic and who is arguably the worst person you can be in the apocalypse a lot of ways, making character choices that make me, Katherine, feel like a gross human being was very different than playing Clary [Fray] or Mia [Smoak] or anything else,” she said. “It was fun to have pink hair for a few months and run around in sequins and other things and live in Randall Flagg’s world of Vegas.”
She continued, “That world in particular was very eerie at times, especially in retrospect, given this year, it’s sort of the mob mentality nature that becomes Randall Flagg’s Vegas and sort of choices that people make that are not what you would hope you would be in the apocalypse. It really highlights a lot of the darker side of humanity and what these adverse situations can push people into. I don’t advise people to follow in Julie’s footsteps in any way, shape or form, but she’s a lot of fun to witness as she becomes sort of this erratic Tinkerbell of the apocalypse.”
Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel of the same name, “The Stand” centers on a post-apocalyptic world in which a man-made plague has decimated almost the entire world’s population. The survivors who remain split into two groups and establish new social systems: one led by 108-year-old woman named Mother Abigail (Whoopi Goldberg), and another led by Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgard), who possesses supernatural abilities. Ultimately, a battle ensues between the two groups, resulting in a war of good versus evil.

I have added in DVD Screen Captures from Katherine’s second movie she ever did all the way back in 2009 Sam Steele and the Junior Detective Agency. Kat star’s as Emma Marsh and co-stars Jacob Hays, Luke Perry, Darren Kennedy, Jilanne Marie Klaus and is Director by Tom Whitus. It’s a cute little kids movie and Jacob is the best part of it for me. You can now view the Screen Captures in the galley.
13-year-old Sam Steele Jr. forms his own private detective agency to emulate his father, Des Moines detective Sam Steele, and helps track down a jewel thief.

Kat did a new Instagram Live interview with Hollywood Life yesterday. She talked about a lot of things and had a fun time on it and its great to see her.
hollywoodlife – Katherine McNamara is taking on a very different role in the miniseries ‘The Stand.’ She spoke EXCLUSIVELY with HL about her role and the show’s parallels to what’s going in real-life.
Katherine McNamara stars as Julie Lawry in the CBS All Access miniseries The Stand, which will premiere Dec. 17. The miniseries, based on Stephen King’s 1978 novel, takes place in a world destroyed by plague and immersed in a battle between good and evil. The fate of mankind rests on the shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail and a group of survivors. HollywoodLife talked EXCLUSIVELY with Katherine about playing Julie Lawry and being a part of the Stephen King universe.
“There’s something to be said about having a group of people that are so inspired by source material and are so passionate about source material and are able to take it and bring it to life in such a rich way,” Katherine told HollywoodLife during an episode of TVTalk on Oct. 1 while promoting the See What Happens campaign and PRECISION1® lenses. “It’s really amazing. Stephen King even wrote an alternate ending for it. There are so many elements that are new, but there are so many elements that stay true to the original, which I think is the perfect way to bring things to life and to translate from book to screen. The cast is incredible. It was such a different experience for me, especially given that I’ve been playing heroes for so long and now I’m playing someone who’s possibly the worst person you could be in the apocalypse and making character choices that make me feel like a gross human being, but that’s part of being an actor. You do things that are similar to yourself and different from yourself, and you’re a chameleon and that’s what you do. But it was so much fun and everyone involved is just so incredible. I’m just so thankful and I can’t wait for people to see it.”
Julie is unlike any character Katherine has ever played, but she was more than up for the challenge. “I love Julie for how unimaginably herself she is, and how she has no inhibitions and no problem putting herself out there and going after what she wants,” Katherine continued. “That’s probably her only admirable quality. Maybe that she can pull off pink hair along with many other colors as well, but she is definitely not an example to follow pretty much in any other aspect. Playing a villain, you have to learn to love your character, but it’s definitely an experience when you’re making character choices that make you feel like a disgusting human being and just the worst possible human that you could [be], but that being said, it all serves a purpose for telling the story and showing the good, the bad, and the ugly of what these situations can bring out in humanity.”
Adapting novels for TV or the big screen can be tricky since fans are so protective over books. The Shadowhunters alum revealed that The Stand miniseries “stays pretty true to the book.” However, she added that “with the new ending, and as they’ve sort of expanded the story, Julie’s story is a bit different than it is in the book. But I think it only serves as a statement that the creators are trying to make with this miniseries and serve this story that we need in 2020 from this sort of material.”
In a weird twist, The Stand eerily mirrors some of what the world is experiencing with the COVID-19 pandemic. “What’s great about The Stand is, yes, it’s about all of this, but beyond that, it’s more about the people and more about what happens to who’s left behind and more about what you go through as a human being and forcing to choose kind of what you stand for and who you are as a person. It’s really ultimately the choices that you make that create your destiny, and that’s kind of the core for all of the characters. Obviously, being Stephen King, every single character is so complex and rich and has so much going on that you just put them in this sort of situation and it’s brutal, and it’s very adult, and it’s absurd, and Stephen King at its finest, and I’m so excited for people to see.”
Katherine is always involved in a new campaign with Alcon that encourages people to See What Happens when they experience lens freedom with PRECISION1® contact lenses. “Contacts have been on my to-do list forever and then during quarantine, I finally got through my to-do list,” Katherine said. “I absolutely love these contact lenses because I feel like I superhero. I actually can go about my life and have a superpower of great vision.”

Kat is on the cover of the new Meraak Magazine – October 2020 with a with a new interview and photoshoot to go with it.
