Surprise 🎙… from the archives. I mean, it’s 2020… #WhatDoWeGotToLose?

In cleaning up my computer desktop earlier this year, I discovered my archives of music I recorded nearly 5 years ago. Folks need something to smile about this year. Something to distract them, entertain them, and get them off the couch and dancing on their feet. For me, this music took me on a nice stroll down memory lane. I hope it puts a similar spring in your step. This is the first of a few surprises I have in store.

I wanted to start with this track as it felt like a theme for the year. When life is uncertain and everything feels up in the air – take a leap of faith, take a risk, trust your heart. After all, #whatdowegottolose ? 💗

I have added in the best screen captures I could find as this never came out on dvd or blu-ray so I did not have a lot to work with but they are not bad looking. “A Little Powder and a Little Paint”: How Halloween-Loving Celebrities Are Safely Celebrating This Year
admin Oct 29, 2020

Hollywood Reporter – Spooky season is looking a lot different this year. Haunted houses have been replaced with drive-thru experiences, pumpkin festivals have been cancelled or severely reduced in capacity, and trick-or-treating is being discouraged in many areas, including Los Angeles County and even banned in Beverly Hills. The social holiday is adapting to social distancing, and these Halloween-loving celebrities have had to rethink their annual plans.

Katherine McNamara, star of the CW’s Shadowhunters and CBS’ upcoming Stephen King adaptation The Stand, is a champion of One Voice, an organization that usually prepares bags of holiday food but will be turning donations into grocery gift cards this year, as the holiday season approaches. The actress is also a big fan of costumes and horror movies, and this year has been doing what she calls “reverse trick or treating.”

“Whether I’m at home or on set, I always try to do something [for Halloween],” McNamara says. “Baking is kind of a therapy for me, it’s very nostalgic and comforting, so I bake a bunch of cookies and put them in a little bag and drop them off at the end of driveways for my friends and family.”

Finding renewal in nature
“In a pandemic-free world, I am very social — traveling, spending time with friends and family, socializing and working are all parts of my regular calendar. Having most if not all of these limited or taken away altogether, I have had to find new ways to fulfill those needs.

I have taken up hiking, running outside and exploring the nature around where I live to find those pockets that feel like a getaway, a change of scenery from the walls of my apartment. I find such fulfillment in time spent alone in nature. There is an energy that renews my body, mind and soul when I take a reclusive detour — if only for an hour.”
